The purpose of the conference is to assess the progress made in implementing the Global Plan 2021-2030 during its initial five-year period, to generate support for the new vision of safe and sustainable mobility.

NETS Side Event: The Role of Private Sector in Global Road Safety

Please join NETS for our side event on private sector involvement in global road safety to learn how private sector organisations can have an impact toward the Decade of Action goal of preventing at least 50% of road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030.

Presentations will include:

  • A review of NETS Benchmark and best practices from the study to assist private sector organisations in advancing their road safety programs;
  • Resources from iRAP to help reduce crashes and lower carbon emissions through better journey management planning;
  • An overview of the FIA Road Safety Index and how it can increase organisations’ insights on the impact of their operations on road safety;
  • An expert panel discussion from Autoliv, EuroNCAP, DEKRA, and others on the importance of implementing safe vehicles and technology; how to create policies addressing vehicle safety standards; the need for legislation to require safer vehicles; and providing safety and security for fleets through testing, certification, and inspections.
