Bernard Pierre

Bernard is the Fleet Safety Manager for Consolidated Edison, the New York metropolitan region’s provider of electric, gas, and steam services. Bernard serves as the Company’s central coordinator for fleet safety, and promotes continuous improvement through the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive program.

Bernard first joined Con Edison in 2000 as an EH&S Environmental Affairs Representative – Substation Operations. He has held various positions, including EH&S Environmental Response Team member, Project Specialist in Central Engineering and Section Manager in EH&S Environmental Affairs.  After taking a leave from Con Edison, Bernard developed and implemented environmental management curriculum for undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. Prior to first joining Con Edison, Bernard was a Project Engineer with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., consulting on various environmental projects for federal, municipal and private clients.

Bernard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Masters of Engineering degree in Environmental Civil Engineering from City College of New York. He also has a Master of Business Administration in Management/Operations Management from New York University, Stern School of Business.
