Pam O’Donnell, Founder, Catch You Later Foundation: Catch You Later – Turning Tragedy into Hope and Awareness

Pam O’Donnell is a wife and mother whose life was forever changed on February 22, 2016, when her husband and 5-year-old daughter were killed by an impaired driver. Since then, Pam has dedicated herself to turning her family’s tragedy into action. She is now the sole parent to her surviving daughter, who was just six years old at the time of the crash.
Pam is the founder of the Catch You Later Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness about distracted and impaired driving and has awarded approximately $40,000 in scholarships in memory of her loved ones.
In a groundbreaking achievement, Pam became the first civilian in New Jersey state history to be certified as a Police Trained Commissioned Instructor. She regularly teaches at police academies across the state and is also the first civilian certified to instruct with the New Jersey State Police. Pam is an active member of the Governor’s Highway Safety Association, National Safety Council, International Association of Chiefs of Police, and Families for Safe Streets. She also serves on the Hudson County Safe Streets Task Force.
Pam’s powerful advocacy work has earned her speaking engagements at major events, including two National Safety Council conventions, Work Truck Week, the National Institute of Justice, and the New Jersey Safety Summit, where she served as keynote speaker in 2023. She is also engaged with the Pennsylvania DOT and frequently speaks to students across Pennsylvania.
Pam played a key role in the passage of New Jersey’s Target Zero Commission Bill—the first of its kind in the nation—which mandates monthly collaboration between 13 state agencies to reduce crashes and fatalities through shared data and coordinated efforts.
Through her advocacy, Pam has spoken to thousands of high school and college students, police recruits, and young leaders at the Police Explorers Youth Academy. Her goal is to ensure her family did not die in vain by helping others understand the very real and personal consequences of preventable, dangerous driving behaviors.

Lisa Battaglia, Founder and President, Battaglia Communications: How to Achieve Safety Results Through Strategic Marketing
Lisa Battaglia has more than 15 years of acclaimed communications and marketing expertise in both major private and public sector organizations. Battaglia works with companies to create internal marketing campaigns that promote culture buy-in, and external marketing and thought leadership campaigns to attract and retain ideal customers. This creates measurable results around brand awareness, customer satisfaction, and employee retention.
Battaglia has proven that a healthy internal safety and overall culture drives external success, and she guides organizations through this process. By focusing on communication with employees through internal brand development and alignment around mission, vision, and values, employees deliver better service to customers – strengthening client and talent retention and positively impacting an organization’s bottom line.
Before founding Battaglia Communications, Battaglia served as Director of Communications and Public Relations for Jetco Delivery, a Houston-based transportation and logistics company. During that time, Battaglia worked on both internal and external marketing, helping to promote and anchor the organization’s robust culture through communication. She simultaneously worked as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Jetco CEO Brian Fielkow, developing his leadership brand through the securement of speaking engagements and press outreach. Battaglia also served as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Patriot Rail, a shortline railroad holding company operating 32 railroads in 23 states; Director of Marketing and Communications for Rice University’s Moody Center for the Arts, a creative platform promoting cross-campus and community collaboration through the arts; and as Director of Public Relations for Design at Work, a full-service marketing firm. Battaglia began her career at Belmont University, where she coordinated the 2010 Tennessee Gubernatorial Debate and helped coordinate the 2008 Town Hall Presidential Debate between President Barak Obama and Senator John McCain.
Battaglia has served on the Texas Trucking Association Board of Directors, the American Trucking Association Image and Branding Committee, and the Houston Museum District Marketing Team. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in English Literature, both from Belmont University. Battaglia currently resides in Houston, Texas.

As leader of the National Safety Council for the last six years, she is passionate about helping people live their fullest lives, from the workplace to anyplace.
