Driver’s Behaving Badly: How Organizations Can Improve On-the-Road Safety for Drivers and Fleets

On-the-road safety is a priority for many organizations. At the end of the day, employees should arrive home safely and organizations need to avoid negative consequences, like nuclear verdicts, workman’s comp claims, and lost work time. Monitoring technologies show promise for improving driver behavior by capturing details about speed, acceleration, hard braking, and so forth. But the continued volume of injuries and associated costs suggest that monitoring technologies alone have not fixed common safety problems. In this presentation, you will learn how behavioral and environmental factors can influence driver behavior and how to determine which factors are most influential. We will also explore how to use all of the amazing data to our advantage through performance management systems and effective behavioral coaching.
