Susan Hipp

Executive Director, NETS

Susan Hipp was selected as the Executive Director of the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS) in October 2021 and is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of the organization’s operations and services, including international growth, conferences, the annual benchmark process, and other road safety programs and initiatives. Susan first joined NETS in 2013 as the Marketing and Operations Manager and has overseen a wide variety of NETS back-office operations and membership processes. In addition to publishing the NETS monthly newsletter (NETSWork), she also facilitated and led numerous NETS projects such as the annual Strength in Numbers® Road Safety Benchmark survey, Drive Safely Work Week™ campaigns, the Cost of Motor Vehicle Crashes to Employers-2019™ report and Cost of Crashes App, and the NHTSA Cooperative Agreement Employer Outreach Program. As the Marketing and Operations Manager and then Director, Susan helped organize the NETS annual fleet safety and international conferences, maintained NETS Membership FORUM, and served as the primary point of contact with NETS members and sponsor partners.

Prior to joining NETS, Susan worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Benefits Division, in various roles including Supervisory Veterans Service Representative, Program Analyst, and Management Analyst/Human Resource Coordinator. Susan holds a bachelor’s degree from Manchester University and studied abroad for a year in France. She is conversational in French and enjoys traveling whenever she can. She enjoys biking and spending time with her family which includes her husband, 5 teenagers, 2 dogs, and 4 reptiles.

Lynda Morrissey

Operations Manager, NETS

Lynda Morrissey rejoined NETS in February 2025 as the Operations Manager, where she is responsible for overseeing the organization’s day-to-day activities and providing direct support to the Executive Director and NETS members.

From 2008 to 2016, Lynda served as NETS’ Director of Marketing, Communications, and Projects. During that time, she led the development of the Drive Safely Work Week campaigns and served as the editor of the NETSWork newsletter. Lynda also played a key role in establishing collaborative agreements between NETS and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that spanned from 2010 to 2020, working on projects focused on occupant protection, drowsy driving, distracted driving, and employer outreach through State Highway Safety Offices.

Before joining NETS, Lynda worked at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where she held various sales support, training, marketing, and communications roles with EDS customers and partners, including Walt Disney World Resorts, Chevrolet Motor Division, and Toshiba. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.

Lynda enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two grown children, and their dog. She loves experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and is eager to travel anytime and to anywhere she gets the chance.
